The focus of this workshop will be on practicing new techniques and experimenting, rather than the completion of a specific piece.
Some patterning techniques include: Fishtail stitch , Random scrappy stitch, Overstitch, Wrap Stitch ratio variations, Patchwork patterns , Graduating patterns, Alternating block patterns, Feature rims - Of course you will NOT have time to try all of these but Kelly will work with the ones the group is MOST interested in learning.
You can choose how you would like to practise and what you would like to create. You might like to create a set of coasters or a couple of trinket bowls, or incorporate different patterns into one big fabulous piece.
You may also like to bring along a piece you are already working on or even a piece you have finished but would like to embellish.
Kelly will have starter coils available for an additional cost of $5 ea for those of you who would like to create several smaller pieces but have not yet mastered starting off.
All materials for the workshop will be supplied and Kelly will have a selection of her beautiful natural and eco dyed raffia bundles available to purchase.
Spots are limited to ensure an intimate and personalised experience.
